Forklifts must not be modified unless approved in writing by the manufacturer.
- Only use replacement parts equivalent to the original manufactured components.
- Do not alter, remove, or add any parts or accessories—including counterweights or lifting attachments—without written manufacturer approval.
- Any approved modifications must be reflected on the forklift’s load capacity plate and operating instructions.
Cleaning Forklifts
Operators are responsible for keeping forklifts clean and free of debris:
- At the start or end of each shift, wipe all surfaces of the forklift with a suitable cloth to remove dust, dirt, and grease.
- Recommended: a wax-treated flannel cloth, similar to those used for cleaning cars, works best.
