OSHA Requirements
The 40-hour HAZWOPER training is a two-phase process consisting of:
- 40 hours of off-site instruction, and
- Three (3) days of worksite-specific, hands-on field practice
OSH Center online training fulfills the first phase of this process.
Your employer is responsible for providing the three days of practical, field-based instruction required to complete the certification.
Time Requirement
Per OSHA Standard 1910.120, students must complete 40 hours of off-site instruction as part of the HAZWOPER program.
To help meet this requirement, OSHAcademy has divided the training into ten separate courses, each with a minimum time requirement that must be satisfied before you can access the course exam.

You can track your progress using the course timer located in the top-left corner of each training page.
