Description

This is the tenth course in a ten-part series that completes the 40-hour HAZWOPER training program for General Site Workers, in accordance with OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.120.

This course focuses on construction-related hazards and the required safety training. Key topics include scaffold safety, slips, trips, and falls, ladder and stairway safety, electrical hazards, excavation and trenching, cranes and rigging, and the safe operation of powered industrial trucks and heavy equipment.

OSHA Requirements

The 40-hour HAZWOPER program consists of two phases:

  • 40 hours of off-site instructional training
  • Three days of supervised, site-specific hands-on practice

Training provided through OSH Center satisfies the off-site instruction portion. Employers must ensure that the three days of hands-on, worksite-specific training are completed.

Time Requirement

According to OSHA Standard 1910.120, participants must complete 40 hours of off-site training. OSH Center divides this program into ten individual courses, each with a minimum time requirement that must be met before the course exam becomes available.

This course has a minimum required duration of 5 hours. A timer is displayed in the upper-left corner of each page to help learners track their progress.

IACET Accreditation

OSH Center is accredited by the International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and provides IACET CEUs for courses that meet ANSI/IACET standards. IACET accreditation is globally recognized as a symbol of high-quality continuing education and training.
