Introduction

Description

This course is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to minimize or eliminate the occupational risk of bloodborne pathogens in healthcare and related settings. The primary goal is to help students understand the risks associated with exposure to potentially infectious materials, such as blood, and to develop safe practices that protect themselves and others.

The course content is based on OSHA standards 655 Bloodborne Pathogens in the Workplace and 755 Bloodborne Pathogens Program Management. It also includes additional topics such as needlestick injury prevention, universal precautions, laboratory safety, and more.

OSHA mandates that bloodborne pathogen training address the specific needs of employees based on their roles, particularly in healthcare. This course meets these requirements, providing practical knowledge and interactive support. Students can ask questions and receive feedback via our website or email, ensuring a comprehensive and OSHA-compliant online training experience.

This training aligns with OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard 29 CFR 1910.1030.
